What Is TypeSafe AI?

TypeSafe AI is the company behind Jev. Its introduction calls Jev its flagship model and the first System One model. How TypeSafe, System One and Jev relate

TypeSafe AI is the company. System One is its name for a class of models designed for structured decisions. Jev is the first public model in that class, announced on September 15, 2026. TypeSafe’s launch post described Jev as available in early access at launch. This historical wording does not establish the access requirements for a new account today.

Jev takes text state and questions, then returns typed results rather than writing a prose answer. The official introduction distinguishes three question types: Choice and Score include probabilities and confidence; Noul returns a value between 0 and 1. Who leads TypeSafe AI?

The official team page lists Diogo Almeida as CEO and identifies him as a co-inventor of RLHF and InstructGPT. The same page lists Sasha Sheng as COO and Erik Gafni as CTO. These are TypeSafe’s own team descriptions, checked on September 23, 2026; they are not a claim about company size, funding or customer adoption.

Where to start

TypeSafe’s current Quick start directs readers to open the Playground and log in to try Jev. For API use, it directs them to get a key from the dashboard.
